I came across the portfolio of Simon C Page via a post on The Fox is Black, someone had written in asking for some new posters he had produced to be mentioned. I’m glad that they were featured because they are incredible! Simon is a graphic designer and illustrator. I’m definitely going to be looking through his portfolio in depth.
The posters that caught my attention were created for the International Year of Chemistry campaign which aims to highlight the importance of Chemistry around the world and at the same time to encourage young people to get more involved with the science. I can’t say the posters would have made me focus any harder on chemistry at school as I was awful at anything other than combustion.
You can buy prints of them over on Simon’s site if you wish.
Carry on below to see a selection of favourites from his work.
International Year of Chemistry 2011
International Year of Astronomy
Simon also created similar posters back in 2009 for the International Year of Astronomy. These are equally as incredible. The simplicity of them really adds to the appeal for me, they also have a retro feel to them which I absolutely love.
As I mentioned there are even more images on his site which you should definitely check out and buy prints if you like them that much. Hopefully next year will be the International Year of Physics and he gets commissioned again.
